Since 1995, we have been proud to sponsor the AICC for our Massachusetts members. The AICC is a nationally recognized Workers Compensation Program, having returned more than $11 million to membership in the form of dividends.
The AICC has saved members in Massachusetts more than $26 million to date, when combining dividends and discounts! Now, increased medical costs make it even more important to protect your MOD, which means protecting your people. The establishment of a strong safety culture lies at the heart of everything we do.
The AICC is governed by a board so membership is managed.
Why Choose AICC?
Wareham Ford on the AICC
As a second generation Dealer at Wareham Ford and a proud member of AICC/NARFA since 2007, I would like to pass on my business relationship experiences between the two companies. Wareham Ford is an owner operated company and operates with the family values of their employees in mind. [...]
In the event that we have had to make a claim the dedicated staff at the AICC has made the process seamless. They have helped our employees get the assistance they need and get them back to work safely.
With the AICC being a self-insurance group and us as a member, we have always felt that our opinion has been respected and valued.
If you have a chance to join this group I would highly recommend you take advantage of the opportunity.

The Johnson Groups on the AICC
We have been with AICC since 2003, and I thought you and your team would like to know why! As we are all aware workers comp rates are set by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, so policies as it relates to cost are basically the same. There may be a discount deviation between rates thus lowering the yearly upfront costs and that is it. [...]
What we have found with AICC, and its sponsoring organization NARFA, is more valuable than upfront savings on a policy. The team at AICC, NARFA and FutureComp have our employees best interests as the basis for decisions and policies. This starts at the inception of the policy with an inspection of the facilities for safety hazards. One must remember an incident that does not happen will save you more money than any savings on the front end of a policy. As they say, bad things happen to good people and if there is an incident the AICC team has always worked with us to get the employee back to work and settle the claim as quickly as possible. Our phone calls were returned quickly and we were kept informed of the progress on the claim. This NEVER happened with any other provider I have had in the previous 22 years of having workers comp insurance.
Of course money is important, there are up-front rate deviations and there are dividends! I estimate that to date, we have or will receive over $33,000 in dividends. Yes this is important, but not as important as having a safe work environment and getting the employee back to work quickly as humanly possible. This is where the true value lies. At least for me and it should be for anyone that really thinks about it.
Our family looks forward to the next 18 years and beyond with NARFA and the AICC.

Wagner Motors on the AICC
We joined the AICC in 2006. From the very first year we saved over 20% our renewal premium, plus we qualified for a dividend on our premium based upon how well the plan had performed the prior year. We have received over $450,000 in dividend over the past 15 years. [...]
Over the past 15 years we have periodically entertained competitive quotes from other non-captive insurance companies. Time and time again, we confirmed that AICC is one of the best workers compensation policies available. The dedicated nurse case managers and claims adjusters take an unprecedented interest in each of their claims; working to ensure both the injured employee is receiving the best care they need and that when ready, they to get back to work. Their communication with the company is also, quite thorough. They regularly update us on the status of the injured employees’ recovery and collaborating with the employer to identify any light duty jobs the employee could participate.
The AICC also has a dedicated Loss Control Manager, who regularly physically inspects the facilities and review specific opportunities to improve or mitigate potential losses. They work hard to help keep the safety culture in the forefront of all of our employees’ minds, helping to keep our experience modification low, and ultimately saving us premium dollars each year. The Loss Control Manager is also available for questions and help addressing safety related issues outside of the regular audit visits.
The AICC has also taken advantage of its sponsoring organization, NARFA, and providing access for all our employees and their families, to an Employee Assistance Program. Something that has been especially welcomed during the past year of dealing with COVID-19 related issues.
We greatly value our partnership with the AICC and its sponsoring organization NARFA. The premium is quite competitive, and the value-added services are head and shoulders above any other I have seen.
